President’s Scholars Program
The President’s Scholars Program (PSP) is designed to offer an enriching personal, cultural, and academic experience to outstanding students at Murray State College. The program includes bi-monthly seminars, educational/cultural field trips and individual research projects carried out under the supervision of MSC faculty.
Eligibility for the President’s Scholars Program will be determined by the following:
1) Must be attending college for the first time (excluding concurrent courses) and must be enrolled full-time for the fall semester following graduation from high school.
2) Eligible applicants can qualify by having a minimum ACT of 21 (or SAT of 1060) and a 3.5 GPA or higher.
The PSP program offers a generous scholarship of up to sixteen credit hours per semester, including $900 to cover fees and up to $1,000 toward room and board each semester. Participants can save roughly $16,500 over two years in the program.
Successful candidates will have been actively involved in leadership and community service during high school and will participate in an interview process to determine who will fill the limited program spots. The recipient of this scholarship must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours at Murray State College and maintain a GPA of at least 3.5. This scholarship will be awarded in the fall and spring semesters pending GPA and funding availability.
