Lindsey Varner Memorial Scholarship

The Lindsey Varner Memorial Scholarship has been created by the Murray State College Collegiate FFA in memory of Vocational Agriculture teacher and friend Lindsey Varner. Lindsey loved animals, was big in barrel horses and always enjoyed working with her family and grandparents at the track with their race horses. Growing up she was active in 4-H and FFA even serving as a state 4-H ambassador and multiple offices in her local FFA chapter. Lindsey’s passion for agriculture exuded in her love for rodeos, livestock shows and youth education. She lived a very full active life and never ceased to show her pride in her FFA kids. Lindsey’s most cherished possessions were her family and friends and she will be remembered fondly by all. Recipients of this scholarship will be students who are majoring in Agriculture and are enrolled full time at Murray State College, maintain at least a 2.5 GPA and have demonstrated work ethic, leadership qualities and record of volunteerism. Preference will be given to students who reside in Johnston or Marshall counties.
