Sharon Burch Marshall

Sharon Burch Marshall is the daughter of Bill and Delores Burch. She began this scholarship in their memory. Bill and Delores raised 8 children and assisted with raising their 34 grandchildren, teaching all of them how to rope. Sharon has 3 children, 2 of which competed on a rodeo team.

“My father Bill Burch was one of a kind. He taught all of his kids, grandchildren to rope and mentored so many others whether they liked it or not! My precious mother was a saint and never missed a chance to go support her husband, kids and grandkids do what they love to do! Their legacy lives on through their kids and grandchildren and will continue to be apart of our families future for years to come. I started a scholarship program here at Murray State College in their honor. This year we will be able to give one student a scholarship but by next year we want to see it grow. They hauled us many hours all over the states and poured into us what they would want us to pour into others.”
